Dell has posted a patch for the Year 2000 BIOS problem that has a very funny requirement: you have to keep your computer turned off for the month of January, 2000. Check out the instructions:

Summary:
1.Install the software patch.
2.Turn off the system prior to midnight on 12/31/99.
3.Reboot the system after 2/1/00.
