Members helping members happens when members get together.
That's the idea behind all our gatherings. In the sidebar you'll see a link to the Pi calendar of events where you can go any time to learn what's on the schedule. Most meetings take place on a regular schedule but it's still a good idea to check since, for instance, some Special Interest Groups are taking the summer off.
The primary meetings that take place include:
- General Meetings
These are our large gatherings which happen monthly on Saturday mornings.
The meeting has a theme and presentations are scheduled around that theme.
Attending a General Meeting is a great way to meet people and to learn.
- Special Interest Group (SIG)
The Mac is capable of so many things but most of us have particular interests.
Really enjoy photography? How about movie making? Just like to get together
with other retired friends? There are SIG for these and other topics too. Better
still, if you don't find what you're looking for then you can start your own SIG
based on your interests!
- Tuesday Night Clinics
Where can you go to get expert friendly help with your Mac hardware? Well,
at our Tuesday Night Clinics you can have your Mac repaired or upgraded
with
parts you bring or some we might be able to supply. We ask everyone we
help
to consider a donation to Washington Apple Pi to help defray the costs as
well
as keep the Pi going strong. This is community support that you can't find
anywhere else!
Find a meeting you're interested in and then plan to attend.
Make new friends, learn new skills, and enjoy your Mac!
Gatherings are a key benefit of your membership.
