Agenda for the December Afternoon Learners SIG
What: Afternoon Learners Special Interest Group
When: Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 1 p.m.
Where: Pi Clubhouse in Rockville, MD at 12022 Parklawn Drive
At last month's meeting, an attendee requested information on how to convert video from tape to disk, another request was made for information on converting audio from a cassette tape player to a compact disc, and a third person inquired about using iMovie.
Thus the plan for the December Afternoon Learners SIG will include a demonstration of connecting a VCR player to a Mac and converting the tape's video to a digital format that will then be burned to a DVD disc. Neil Ferguson, the SIG leader, will be using an EyeTV device and VCR player to conduct the demo.
As for the audio conversion topic, Neil will be prepared to show everyone the process of converting audio tapes into a digital format.
At present there is no one scheduled to talk about iMovie, but if someone attending has a good working knowledge and cares to share, we may have a good discussion on this topic as well.
