Rob Pegoraro reviews personal technology in 2022

June 25, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm.

Note: this will be a virtual meeting via Zoom. It may also be a hybrid meeting, but, sadly, probably not in Sequim, Washington.

Rob Pegoraro will return to talk about personal technology. It has been a curious year for personal technology, with many famous and unknown individuals recording themselves committing crimes major and minor with their phones, tablets, and laptops. Meanwhile, off-the-shelf consumer drones are appearing in combat zones. Corporations are demanding that workers return to the office, and millions of workers are saying, "Ah, why?"

Apple is marching on with their M1 iPads and Macs, and their M1 Pro Macs, and their M1 Max Macs, and their M1 Ultra Macs, and now their M2 Macs (narrowly edging out the M1 Ultra Pro Max Macs). Is Rob making the jump to Apple Silicon, or is he more comfortable with Intel Inside? Has he ever been to Ventura, California?

The Zoom meeting invitation will be posted on the Pi's conferencing system, the TCS, and sent out to members via Email. Please check your Zoom profile online to be sure it contains your full name, because for security reasons, we can't let anyone in without their full name.

Important: If you use the Zoom app (instead of a web browser), check in advance that you have version 5.10.7 or better.

We'll start with a Q&A, so please send us any questions for us to queue up for the panel.
