David Pogue at the Pi

May 30, 2020, 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Note: this will be a virtual meeting via Zoom.

Noted tech journalist David Pogue will be the guest at our May General Meeting on May 30, 10 am - 12:30 pm. For several years, the Pi has shown Pogue's charming
videos to start our Afternoon Learners meetings. After years of welcoming Pogue via his video podcasts, we will finally welcome him in person — virtually. But as a live video via Zoom.

For those of you who don't know David Pogue, he is a long-time journalist, author of a bunch of computer books for the non-technical user, with a well-stocked YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/poguenyt/) covering everything from his experiences at the New York Times to looking at Bluetooth headsets to singing at Macword about a guy who bought a Dell. While definitely a serious technology journalist, his style is more often playful and whimsical than plodding. This is a recent photo of Pogue in the middle of a Zoom-based interview:

Zoom invites to the meeting will be sent out via E-mail, and posted on the Pi's TCS bulletin board.

We are going to try and stream the meeting through the Pi website: https://www.wap.org/live/
