Apple DOS 3.3

Apple's first 16-sector-per-track DOS — replacing 3.2's 13-sector format. ~20% more capacity per diskette (140K). PASCAL-compatible disk format. Master disk includes UPDATE 16 migration utility.

Initial release bugs (Val Golding, Sept 1980): - 48K-only - May blow diskettes on random-access writes - Zeroes $E000 on reboot, wiping Integer BASIC / Applesoft II from the Language Card (patch: T0/S9 byte $CC → $10)
