Steve Wozniak
Designer of the Apple II hardware and software, including Integer BASIC, the Monitor, the Floating Point routines, and the SWEET 16 pseudo-machine interpreter. Referred to in early 1979 Pi articles affectionately as "the WOZ." His omission of CHR$ from Integer BASIC sparked Jim Rose's workaround in March 1979. His sparse documentation of SWEET 16 (five paragraphs in an early BYTE article) sparked John Moon's full June 1979 writeup.
