Timeline: - June 1980 — Pi Board decides to set up a BBS, Moon in charge - July 1980 — Moon announces he's writing it; testing imminent - August 1980 — unveiled at general meeting, WAP-members-exclusive, volunteers wanted for initial testing - September 1980 — live at (301) 983-1317; Bell 103 compatible, full duplex, ASCII; password required (postcard to 9800 River Road, Potomac MD) - October 1980 — public details in newsletter - November 1980 — Urban editorial proposes Pi buy a dedicated Apple II + modem + phone line for the BBS - December 1980 — sign-up moves to club phone; Genevie Urban writes "ABBS from One User's Viewpoint"
