Founder of Research Associates (1373 "E" Street SE, Washington DC 20003 — same address as his classifieds), which placed the first paid advertisement in the journal: the SHAPE DESIGNER product in May 1979.
Elected Program Chairman in May 1979. Withdrew from May ballot for President and Treasurer due to over-commitment. Reelected Member-at-Large under Moon. Promoted to Associate Editor when the masthead formalized in July. Throughout 1979 contributed graphics programs (Lissajous, Kaleido-Shape), product reviews (SUPERCHIP, SUPER STARWARS), and utilities (Catalog → C rename, Disk II speed adjustment).
