Highlights

Cynthia Yockey rises

Yockey writes both dPub SIG and Mac meeting reports in this issue. She becomes increasingly visible as a Pi voice through 1988-1989 and is named as a speaker at the June 14, 1989 BOD meeting that removed Bob Platt as President (per backlog notes from 1989-07 — V11 N07).

Robert Wolov debuts

Wolov's "A View of Big Blue" is his first Pi byline. He becomes key Mac/NeXT voice — later writes Macinations and the Nov 1988 "What's NeXT Apple?" piece previously cited from 1988-12 — V10 N12.

Phil Shapiro continues

Shapiro's second Pi byline — his Reading Fun shareware advocacy. Sets up his later schools/community-software emphasis.
